BUSY MOMS WITH YOUNG CHILDREN! THIS IS FOR YOU...

Ditch the Pinterest scrolling for done for you activity ideas and a simple 5-step process for implementing a predictable, developmentally-appropriate, and peaceful routine around play.

SAY NO MORE! I'M IN.

You know that feeling when you’re scrolling through the images on Pinterest of the perfect home with the perfect playroom? The kids look calm and happy, and the mom seems well-rested, put together, and even has a beautiful craft laid out for her kids.

If we’re being real, this image makes you roll your eyes, right? (I know, I’ve been there.)

MAYBE YOUR DAYS LOOK LESS LIKE THAT PERFECT PINTEREST POST, AND MORE LIKE THIS...

You’re feeling pulled in a million directions. Your little one is begging you to play, but there’s laundry, cleaning, work, dinner, groceries… how are you supposed to get it all done?

Placeholder Image

Your toddler asked you to play blocks again, and you’re not sure you can possibly run through the same old knight-and-princess storyline for the 1,000th time.

You wonder how the kids are possibly complaining about being bored again when there are so many toys! They have plenty to do, but they're still restless!

DOES THIS SCENE SOUND FAMILIAR?

Your little one bounces from one activity to the next, the house is covered in toys and paint and crayons. You know you should stay in-the-moment with your kids, but you can’t stop thinking about how long it’s going to take you to pick all this up once they’re (finally) asleep.

You swore you’d never be the type of mom who let her kid put stickers on the wall, but here you are, watching them decorate the living room with the entire set of Mickey Mouse stickers, just to enjoy 5 minutes of peace and quiet.

You take a break to hop on Instagram and notice @missperfectmom seems to be having a lovely, peaceful day with her kids, while you realize you haven’t even eaten yet today.

“Maybe I’ll try that holiday sensory bin I saw on Pinterest!” You think to yourself. The kids will love it. You take the entire nap time preparing the bin, and your toddler LOVES it… for about 5 minutes. Now there’s rice everywhere, and your little one is off to the next thing.

At the end of the day, you collapse on the bed, exhausted. How can you keep at this day after day? You’re feeling frazzled, guilty, and overwhelmed.

Of course, no REAL mama’s daily life is going to look exactly like that perfect Pinterest post, but we can get close to it.

Hi, I'm Jayme!

I'm a former first-grade teacher, creator of the blog Teach Talk Inspire, and current stay-at-home mom to a toddler.

I love to share activity ideas to do at home, toddler printables, and resources to entertain and educate your kids.

I started my home school preschool journey with my daughter this year, and I'm excited to combine my love of teaching and learning at home. I recently wrote a book titled, “100 First Words for Toddlers,” an essential first-word book that grows with your child.

I'm passionate about intentional play and helping other moms answer the question, “What do I do at home with my toddler all day?”

When I'm not creating activities or resources for toddlers and preschoolers, I can usually be found drinking way more coffee than is socially acceptable, watching Gilmore Girls on repeat, and having kitchen dance parties to all the Disney music!

Will you join me in my mission to bring Purposeful Play into every home?

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU YOUR DAYS COULD LOOK LIKE THIS...

You and your little one know exactly how your day will be structured.

There are times when you are fully present, bonding with your child through a playtime activity you BOTH enjoy.

And there is a time when you are doing laundry or cleaning while your toddler plays happily on their own.

Your toy space is inviting, accessible, and organized. Your toddler knows exactly where to find things, and she feels comfortable to explore.

Your child knows where toys are, feels free to play and explore safely, and can confidently navigate the day, thanks to the predictable routine you’ve set in place.

You are aware of your child’s progress toward developmental milestones, and you have a toolkit of activities to address these milestones that you can pull from throughout the week without having to scour the internet and sift through random one-off ideas.

You can confidently tell your child when it’s time for independent play without the guilt, knowing you each need time for yourself.

You feel content and peaceful in your routine with your child, and you’re equipped with the tools needed to bond, learn, and play with your child.

At the end of the day, you know your child’s bucket is full.

I CAN RELATE.

When I was a new mom, I felt completely overwhelmed and unsure of myself. I was home, by myself, with a baby. I was constantly asking myself if I was doing enough for her. I would spend hours on Google, Pinterest, and all the other parenting sites searching for reassurance that I was doing enough.

I desperately wanted to enjoy motherhood, but instead my anxiety and constant doubt was stopping me from enjoying something I had wanted for so long.

After a few months of this, I knew I needed to find a way to start enjoying my motherhood. It was time to add some consistency and peace into our day.

I tapped into my education background and started thinking like a teacher AND a mom. I set out to create a home environment where we could learn, play, and bond together without so much stress and overwhelm.

Through some trial and error, I realized that it is possible to enjoy learning and playing at home together, and most importantly -- it can be simple.

By creating predictable routines that incorporate the same 5 components each day, I’ve been able to find so much more joy in our time at home together, and I want that for you too.

That’s why I knew I couldn’t just teach you HOW to implement this routine. I wanted to be there along this journey with you. I want to help you make the Purposeful Play Routine a part of your everyday life, along with a supportive group beside you.

Imagine being surrounded by a like-minded group of moms, all supporting one another as they work to create a calm, predictable, intentional play routine. A place where you can celebrate wins when your routine goes exactly as planned, and also a place to laugh (or cry) when things veer off track.

I have the Learn and Play bundle, and we do your activities each month! Thank you so much for sharing them, it makes it so easy to know we are learning while playing and my little guy loves them. HERE'S WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING...

"My daughter and I have both found so much joy within The Purposeful Play Community!  Jayme is a devoted facilitator and is constantly tuned into members' questions and comments.  She does a wonderful job engaging all of us and sparking new ideas to share.  I've been following Jayme and Teach Talk Inspire for a while now and I love this next step of being a part of a group of like minded parents and caretakers all looking to connect, learn, and play with our children."

We love using Jayme’s activities in all different ways.  My 6-year-old likes to review what she knows and builds confidence by teaching her sisters.  My younger kids love seeing the new themes each month and get so excited from “new activities.”

The easy set-ups and explanations are extremely helpful for non-teachers and parents looking to encourage learning and independent play while they work. "

BRING PEACE BACK TO YOUR DAYS!
